RUBC history 1965-68

Below are a collection of mid 1960's at RUBC. Many thanks to Ann Winfield (Formerly Wolf - Sculler 1964-1967) for providing the information.
Ann wrote: "I was married for 20 years to Pete Burr who was in the 1st Eight much of his time at Reading 1964 - 1970, studying Properties of Materials and then doing a PhD on ion implantation, the early development of silicon chips. We met at the boat club and I spent a lot of time following the crew to Heads and regattas. The scullers were much more laid back (lazy?) and we rarely competed. Very sadly Pete died in 1987 aged 42, from a brain tumour. We had 2 children who preferred Pete's other sport, rock climbing but it was Tom who sent me your web site address".
