Nine boats containing RUBC members qualified for the 2009 regatta. This
is an amazing achievement to have 32 RUBC members racing. All the RUBC
crews raced hard and it was the best year for the club for over 20 years.
It was also amazing to have such great support on the bank. Details of
the crews are below. |

Stewards Challenge Cup (International 4-) - Alex Gregory races for RUBC in the coxless 4 as "Leander and RUBC". This crew also contains RUBC alumni Richard Egington at 2. They beat the NZ 4 to win. |

Remenham Challenge Cup (International Women's 8+) - Tash Page races as RUBC in the GB 8 entered as "Leander & Molesey". They beat Yale in the final to win. |

Queen Mother Challenge Cup (International 4x) - Sam Townsend, Bill Lucas & Charles Cousins Race in the top quad event at Henley in the GB 4x as "RUBC & Leander" They beat the USA quad, but lost to the current Olympic champions, Poland, in the final. |

Prince Albert Challenge Cup (academic 4+) RUBC "A" - Sam Waterson, Vince Johnson, Adam Neill, Chris Carew and cox Fran Pang race in the top RUBC coxed 4. They made it to the Semi-final defeating Worcester Polytechnic (USA), and University of West of England on the way, but lost to Yale by a length on the Saturday. |

Prince Albert Challenge Cup (academic 4+) RUBC "B" - Huw Richards, Ed Birrell, Alex Berry, James Leigh & cox Rhiannon Jones, race in the good performing RUBC second crew. They drew Imperial College in the first round and lost to them. |

Prince of Wales Challenge Cup (club 4x) RUBC & Nottingham Rowing Club - The top RUBC crew in this event contains Mikey Mottram, Ben Johnson & John Collins, as well as Dave Marshall from NRC. They beat the University of Birmingham, but lost to Tideway Scullers on the Friday. |

Temple Challenge Cup (academic 8+) - RUBC's 8 is made up of Dave Cruchley, Charlie Dorling, Will Bosman, Ollie Moss, Sam Mogridge, Jono Lacey, Sam Thorley, Ollie Wilkinson and expertly coxed by Lottie Burgess. They raced well but lost to University College London on Wednesday. |
